Dust storm to affect North Texas tonight

GREENVILLE — The remnants of a West Texas dust storm is expected to affect Hunt County and the surrounding area tonight. The report from the National Weather Service as of 6:15 p.m. Tuesday:

Two areas of dust will affect North Texas this evening through midnight. Visibilities may drop to between 3 and 5 miles. The West Texas dust was moving east at 35 mph behind a dryline, while the Panhandle dust was moving south and southeast at 40 mph just behind a strong cold front. Persons with respiratory problems or susceptible to dust should be indoors before the dust arrives.
