GREENVILLE — The Greenville City Council decided late Tuesday night to take the "interim" off of the title, and voted to formally hire Massoud Ebrahim as the new Greenville City Manager.
The vote was 5-2, with Dan Perkins and Velma Del Bosque-Hobdy voting against, and was the only action taken by the Council following a lengthy executive session Tuesday night.
Ebrahim will receive the same pay as did former city manager Steven Alexander. Ebrahim, also the city's Director of Public Works, was appointed as Interim City Manager in May, the wake of the Council terminating former city manager Alexander’s contract.
