GREENVILLE — The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Texas and the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots are working together to collect applications and distribute more than 1,500 toys to children across Hunt County this holiday season.

Applications will be accepted at the Reecy Davis Center, located at 4320 Lee Street in Greenville, on Monday and Tuesday of this week from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Applicants must provide the following along with their application

— Photo ID

— Proof of address,

— Birth certificate on all children

— Verification of income

Pick up days will be Dec. 17- 19, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the old Travis Elementary, 3005 Division Street in Greenville. Picture ID is required for pick up.

It is requested that no children are to be brought during application process or pick up days.

Toys for Tots annually collects and distributes toys in the communities where a Marine Corps Reserve Unit is located to help less fortunate children experience the joy of Christmas.

“It is a privilege to assist the Marine Corps Toys for Tots as a distribution point again this holiday season,” said Jenny Krueger, Chief Professional Officer of Northeast Texas. “We were able to serve over 500 children of Hunt County last year, due to the generosity of L-3 and the community at large, and we look forward to assisting the children that need it the most this year.”

If you would like more information about the 2012 Toys for Tots Application for Assistance, please contact BGCA of Northeast Texas at 903-455-9233.

For community members or businesses interested in donating to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots, contact Gunnery Sergeant Jay Lenoir, Assistant Coordinator Staff Sergeant David Green at 913-400-1259.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Texas is strictly a collection site for Toys for Tots applications, and a distribution center of the toys.
