Temperatures rising today

GREENVILLE — Greenville could see its hottest day of 2013, so far, today. The National Weather Service forecast is calling for mostly sunny skies and a high of 96 degrees this afternoon. Greenville has seen three days since Memorial Day where the high temperature reached 95 degrees. The heat index value — what it feels like when the humidity is factored in — is expected to climb to 102 degrees today.
