Being neighborly with Mexico

GREENVILLE — Area industry and government leaders will have an opportunity next week to learn what is being done to improve business relations with the Lone Star State’s neighbor to the south.

The Hunt County Alliance for Economic Development is set to meet at 11:30 a.m. next Wednesday, January 29 at the Fletcher Warren Civic Center, 5501 Business Highway 69 South in Greenville.

Guest speaker for the event will be Janie Havel with the Office of Governor Rick Perry and the North Texas Regional Representative for Economic Development and Tourism. Havel will be speaking on “Texas Mexico: Efforts to Enhance Economic Development.”

Cup and Saucer will be catering the luncheon, which will cost $10 per person, payable at the door.

However, RSVPs are needed by noon Monday, January 27 by calling 903-455-9885.
