Skate Friday tomorrow morning

GREENVILLE — The Summer of Safety continues on a roll Friday morning, with hundreds of youngsters expected to take part in three hours of free skating.

The Summer of Safety, sponsored by the Greenville Police Department, has scheduled Skating Friday between 9 a.m. and noon at Skate Safari.

Greenville Police Department Student Services Officers Richard Calender and James Hamilton supervise the activities, alongside volunteers from the Greenville Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association, the Greenville Police Explorers post and the Greenville High School PALs program.

Hamilton also wanted to thank Super 1 Foods, Brookshire’s, Sabine Tackle, the Campus and Hunt County Crime Stoppers organizations and the Citizens on Patrol for their assistance in presenting the Summer of Safety this year, which will conclude with the Teen Police Academy July 15-19.
