City Council to vote tonight on L-3 lease?

GREENVILLE — The Greenville City Council may be taking a vote tonight on the city's lease with L-3 concerning property the defense contractor operates on at Majors Field Municipal Airport.

An item concerning the lease negotiations is included under an executive session as part of tonight's regular agenda, starting at 6 p.m. in the Municipal Building, 2821 Washington Street.

The item is one of three to be discussed under Section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code, which allows for a consultation with the City Attorney.

Council member Dan Perkins has posted on his Perkins for City Council Place 1 Facebook page that a vote may be taken on the lease when the Council returns to open session.

The Council is scheduled to convene under Section 551.071 (2) of the Local Government Code, which allows for a consultation with the City Attorney on any regular session agenda item requiring confidential, attorney/client advice necessitated by the deliberation or discussion of said items. - See more at: http://heraldbanner.com/local/x2056612305/Council-to-address-bonds-lawsuit#sthash.cpwFwyRs.dpuf
