The forum is scheduled for 6 p.m. inside Bowie Elementary School, 6005 Stonewall Street. A walking tour of the building, which would be replaced if the bond proposal passes, is scheduled following the informational presentation, with time for questions and answers.

The Greenville Chamber of Commerce is in support of the proposed $72 million bond, which, if approved by voters, would provide funding for:

— Improving  safety and  security systems  at all  district campuses

— Improving wireless infrastructure and access to technology  at each of the district’s campuses

— Providing  facility upgrades and improvements at  each district campus.

The estimated tax increase is anticipated to be 21.46 cents  per $100 valuation. An average homeowner would see an increase of approximately $14.48 per month ($173.76 per year) in property taxes.
