Cold front poised to blow through area this morning

GREENVILLE — Hope you brought your jacket today.

A powerful cold front is scheduled to blow through the region this morning, at around 11 a.m., according to the National Weather Service, bringing a sharp drop in the temperature and a slight chance of showers.

The temperature in Greenville had risen to 64 degrees by 10:45 a.m. today, but it is expected to fall to around 52 by 3 p.m.. There is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight, with a low around 40.
