Hunt County residents urged to remain on guard

GREENVILLE — The tragedy which occurred in Boston Monday prompted local emergency management officials to again encourage the public to be on guard.

As of Monday evening there were no reports of any incidents in the North Texas area, although Hunt County Director of Homeland Security Richard Hill said the explosions which killed at least three and injured some 140 others was a signal for local residents to keep their eyes open.

“We all need to be aware of our surroundings,” Hill said. “We need to be aware of anything suspicious and if you see anything, call the appropriate law enforcement agency.”
