Chamber Business Showcase Thursday

GREENVILLE — The Hunt County Fairgrounds will play host Thursday to dozens of area merchants, along with cars, cash, pancakes, a famous buffalo and even a camel during the annual Greenville Chamber of Commerce Business Showcase.

The free event is designed to show off the goods and services provided by a wide variety of local companies and  is scheduled from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Thursday at the Fairgrounds, 9800 Jack Finney Boulevard, and is sponsored by Texas Farm Bureau Insurance.

The Showcase is expected to have more than 60 vendors both inside and out, many of which will be participating in “Tasteful Tidbits” where businesses will give away free samples of foods and desserts they have to offer. The Showcase will also feature a free hot dog lunch sponsored by Alliance Bank.

For animal loves, the Famous Buffalo Wildthing and Ziggy the camel are scheduled to make an appearance and the Commerce Humane Society will be conducting an adopt a pet program.

A new car show is planned and a cash cube will give visitors a  chance to grab as much cash as you can. International House of Pancakes (IHOP) is also sponsoring a pancake-eating contest.

There will be chances to win prizes, including up to $5,000 cash from Summerwind Apartments, two tickets to the November 13 Nolan Ryan Luncheon, and lots of other door prizes. The Chamber will also be presenting the annual Business Yard Sale and Chinese Auction.
