Fair on the ‘Money’

GREENVILLE — A huge crowd turned out Friday evening for the ribbon cutting to officially open the 45th Annual Hunt County Fair.

And that was just the Money family.

Dozens of relatives of the late Mickey Money comprised the lions share of the dignitaries on hand for the ribbon cutting, and did the honors for the event.

This year’s Fair is dedicated to Money, a former Hunt County commissioner, auditor and justice of the peace who was an avid Fair supporter. The ribbon cutting was performed, as is tradition, in the shadow of Fair Boss, a giant Hereford standing guard over the Fair gates.
