Easter Bunny set to make local hop

GREENVILLE — The Easter Bunny is scheduled to stop in Greenville this weekend to leave thousands of eggs scattered across a local park.

The annual Eggstravaganza Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by the City of Greenville, is scheduled for Saturday morning on the softball fields inside the Greenville SportsPark at the corner of Sayle Street and Kari Lane/Leo Hackney Boulevard.

There will be more than 15,000 Easter eggs for children ages 11 and under.

The event begins at 9 a.m. with free spring pictures by Walgreens, free egg hunting bags from the Hunt Regional Medical Center and opportunities for children to meet the Easter Bunny.

There will be four separate hunts; one at 10 a.m. for children up to 3 years old; and three more starting at 10:15 a.m., each on a different field, for children 4 and 5 years old, for children ages 6 to 8 years old and for children 9 to 11 years old.
