Expo equals excitement

Excitement is at an all-time high for the Business Expo slated for Thursday at the Fletcher Warren Civic Center.

Sponsor Alliance Bank will be providing free hot dogs, chips and cookies outside the main entrance to the Fletcher Warren Civic Center beginning at noon. They’ll also host a drawing each hour for Visa gift cards and other prizes.

Not to be outdone, PaPa Murphey Pizza will also be offering free pizza to Expo-goers, and Lee Street Bar & Grill will have samples of their chicken fried bacon appetizer.

Other sponsors include Hunt Regional Medical Center, GEUS, KIKT 93.5 FM and Herald-Banner Publications.

“This Expo is a great opportunity for businesses to showcase their products and services to the public, and a great place for consumers to see what is new in the local marketplace,” said Chamber President Sally Bird.

Local radio station KIKT 93.5 FM will host a live remote at the event, and visitors will notice a 45-foot bus out front promoting “Natural Waterfalls with Robert Stapleton.” Natural Waterfalls is a pilot cable television program, which recently filmed one of its segments in Greenville.

Greenville Ford and Nissan of Greenville will also have products available for viewing in the parking lot.

Inside, Aerobic Water will offer a free dispenser and three months of water to introduce their product to consumers.

Cosmetic Skin Laser will host a drawing for a free gift basket and Advantage Copy Systems will have a drawing every hour for business-related items.

HealthSource Chiropractic and Progressive Rehab will offer MyoVision spine analysis and a free massage chair.

Hairology will be giving free manicures.

Mr. Rooter will offer discount coupons, Travel Dreams will have a drawing for a Three-Piece Disney Luggage set, and the Small Business Development Center of Paris Junior College will distribute information about their program to help small businesses.

East Texas Hobbies and Toys will give shoppers a preview of what might look good under the Christmas tree this year, and the Friends of Main Street will have a booth inviting attendees to “Fall in Love with Downtown.”

Wall Furniture, which makes custom wood supports for flat screen televisions, will offer a $100 discount on any of their designs.

Other confirmed exhibitors include LakePoint Medical Center, Rehab Management, Gentle Dental, Crisis Center of Northeast Texas, Visiting Angels of Paris, AFLAC, Farm Bureau Insurance, Greenville Board of Development, Women in Need, Advantage Copy Systems, Hulsey Therapy Services, H&R Block, Complete Dental Care, Rubbermaid, C&H Coffee, SuddenLink Cable Promotions Greenville Powersports and Lone Star Credit Union.

This is the fourth annual installment of the Business Expo, which has proven popular with business people and consumers.

A few spaces may still be available for companies who would like to showcase their goods and services to the public.

“For consumers, it is great time to shop for the holidays and plan purchases for the coming year.”

The Business Expo is free to the public.
