By BRAD KELLAR
Herald-Banner Staff

GREENVILLE Officials with the Greenville chapter of Habitat for Humanity have recruited some help from the worldwide organization to raise local public awareness.

Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) Organizational Development consultant Mark Lassman-Eul will present an informational program between 6 and 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the W. Walworth Harrison Public Library.

Anyone interested in the history of Habitat for Humanity, the current work of Habitat across the globe or in learning how to become involved with the local Habitat affiliate are welcome to attend.

Habitat for Humanity helps provide low-cost housing to individuals who would not otherwise qualify using traditional methods. Habitat’s goals are based in Christian beliefs and principles.

Lassman-Eul has worked with Habitat for Humanity International for more than 20 years and is currently doing regional work for HFHI Western region. Prior to his current assignment, Mark served for six years at HFHI headquarters in Americus, Ga. and for three years with Habitat’s Africa and Middle East office where he was based in Kenya. Lassman-Eul has also done Habitat work in India, Costa Rica, Northern Ireland and Canada.

While in Greenville, Lassman-Eul will be conducting workshops for Greenville Texas Habitat for Humanity.
