Town Hall meetings scheduled

By BRAD KELLAR
Herald-Banner Staff

GREENVILLE Local residents will have two chances this month to hear City of Greenville officials answer their questions.

The two upcoming Town Hall meetings have been designed to address topics raised by local residents in a recent survey.

The first meeting is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday at Municipal Auditorium, 2821 Washington Street. The second meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, July 13, in the Fletcher Warren Civic Center.

The meetings are being held in response to a a survey issued by the city in April. The survey asked whether citizens would attend if the city hosted a meeting and also provided the opportunity for residents to select the topics they would like to have discussed.

A release issued by the city said residents offered a variety of topics for discussion and indicated that the two meetings would be identical in format.

City Manager Steve Alexander plans to present a brief overview of current city projects and programs and citizens are being invited to ask questions and discuss any concerns they may have. Members of the city staff are also expected to be on hand to answer questions and provide information.
