GREENVILLE A reception is scheduled this afternoon for Lana Calvery, who is retiring effective today as the executive director and chief executive officer of the United Way of Hunt County.

The reception is set for between 4 and 6 p.m. today at the United Way office, 2607 Lee Street in downtown Greenville.

Calvery began working with the local United Way more than eight years ago and assumed the executive director’s post in October 2002. Calvery is getting married. She and her family are moving to Fayetteville, Ark.

The organization’s board formed a search committee which has been conducting interviews since the beginning of the month in an effort to find the next executive director.

There had been no announcement as of Tuesday regarding the position.
