Police respond to 80 calls

Officers with the Greenville Police Department were dispatched to a total of 80 calls Thursday, took nine people into custody and filed 26 reports. Of those people taken into custody, five were arrested for outstanding warrants, two for theft and one each for driving while license suspended/invalid and failure to identify as a fugitive from justice.



Courts

District Court

— John Wayne Armstrong, 23, Dallas, had probation on a charge of possession of a controlled substance revoked and was sentenced to nine months in a state jail.

— Melissa Darlene Williams, 40, Leonard, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance and was placed on 30 months of deferred adjudication probation with a $200 fine.

— Clifford Ray Davis, 28, Greenville, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance and was placed on five years of deferred adjudication probation.

— Tristan Lamar Jackson, 22, Greenville, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of sexual assault of a child-two counts and was placed on 10 years of deferred adjudication probation with 30 days in the Hunt County Jail.

— Bobby Joe Hooper, 37, Rowlett, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of felony DWI and was placed on eight years of probation with 102 days in the Hunt County Jail.

— Kerry Lane Thompson, 52, Commerce, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of delivery of a controlled substance and was placed on eight years of deferred adjudication probation with 75 days in the Hunt County Jail.

— Barbara Sue Howard, 33, Commerce, entered a plea of no contest to a charge of delivery of a controlled substance and was placed on five years of deferred adjudication probation.

— A charge of felony DWI, filed against Stacy Lee Wright, 42, West Tawakoni, was dismissed due to insufficient evidence.

— A charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, filed against Patrick Dale Mollenhour, 20, Greenville, was dismissed due to insufficient evidence.

— Floyd Edward English Jr., 32, Greenville, had probation on a charge of tampering with a governmental record revoked and was sentenced to 365 days in a state jail.

— Rodney Okeith Wilson, 44, Greenville, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to 510 days in a state jail.



County Court-at-Law

— In State of Texas v. Raymond Lee Payton, the Defendant's probation for Evading Arrest/Detention was revoked. The Defendant was sentenced to 120 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Jason Scott Davis, the Defendant was found guilty of Purchasing/Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor. The Defendant was sentenced to 90 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Dan Herrera Gonzalez, the Defendant was found guilty of Driving While Intoxicated/Open Alcoholic Container. The Defendant was sentenced to 60 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Carlos Jaime Ayala, the Defendant was found guilty of Driving While Intoxicated. The defendant was sentenced to 60 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Cordney Duane Gray, the Defendant was found guilty of Theft of Property. The Defendant was sentenced to 30 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Mary Ann Parisi, the Defendant's probation for Criminal Trespass was revoked. The Defendant was sentenced to 30 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Herbert Earl Anderson, the Defendant was found guilty of Criminal Trespass. The Defendant was sentenced to 30 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Sara Jane Dunbar, the Defendant was found guilty of Criminal Trespass. The Defendant was sentenced to 30 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Justin Terrail Thomas, the Defendant was found guilty of Criminal Trespass. The Defendant was sentenced to 180 days in jail, probated for 12 months, fined $100 and ordered to pay court costs.
