Above and beyond

To the editor:

I am always saddened when I read about J.C. Penney downsizing. When I gave blood last summer and fainted in the parking lot at the mall, it was “only they” who came to our aid. They gave my son permission to use their phone for a local call asking for help because our battery had died. It was 102 degrees.

And many thanks to the Blood Mobile and two strangers who also stopped to help. God bless you all.

Margaret Everheart
