To the editor:
Huge thanks from the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and Hunt County Master Gardeners to Greenville’s Herald-Banner and local radio stations KGVL, KIKT, and KETR.
Master Gardeners work so hard to offer informative and helpful programs for everyone in the community, and the excellent coverage by these two news media literally fill the seats of our talks and classes. The radio station doubled attendance at our March series of “Learn with the Master Gardener” classes.
We were thrilled to see a record 104 Hunt residents at the recent “Square Foot Gardening” talk, most of whom were there because of the one article that appeared Monday of the same week in the Herald-Banner ... wow! Advertisers mustn’t underestimate the power of our terrific local radio station and newspaper — people are, indeed, reading and listening! A big thanks, too, to our partner, the W. Walworth Harrison Library, for making our Art of Gardening series of lectures such a success.
All three of these local information outlets also feature websites that announce events and other information that so benefits the community. We appreciate you!
