GREENVILLE — To the editor:
Re Golden K thanks citizens of Greenville
The Greenville Golden K Kiwanis Club would like to thank all of Greenville for your support to our annual Greenville Golden K Kiwanis Club Pancake Breakfast. Through your help, we were able to bring in more money than any previous year.
Specifically, we’d like to thank Super 1 and Brookshire’s for allowing us to sell tickets at their locations. Thanks to the Greenville High School Key Club for helping with food service and clean-up, Also, IHOP, Cracker Barrel and Brookshire’s donated almost all our supplies.
Each year the Greenville Golden K Kiwanis Club donates over 6,000 hours to Hunt County. We also donate over $5,000 to local charities, scholarships, and youth activities. Our continuing projects include the Texas Ramps Project for people with limited mobility, support to DrugFree Greenville, Hunt County Shared Ministries, CASA for Hunt County, Keep Greenville Beautiful, the YMCA, the Key Club of Greenville High School, L.P. Waters Early Learning Center, Meals on Wheels, the Audie Murphy/American Cotton Museum, the Greenville Police Department’s Summer of Safety program and many others.
The Greenville community has helped us become more effective through their continued generosity. Thank you from our entire club.
Mike Peterson, President
