To the editor:
Do you ever have “juicy” dreams that fizzle out?
“How nice that I can vacation at Martha’s Vineyard and be hosted by the likes of David Schultz at his $21 million residence. Goodness gracious, I almost forgot my staff of 75 who accompanied me! I do not recall just what I needed them for … what with all the Schultz’ hospitality. However, I did have to book 75 extra rooms for them. Think I heard a staff member say something about $7-10 million for this trip. Oh well, that’s no big deal … the taxpayers pick up the tab.”
Oh shucks, did I just dream that I was President Obama?
Yes, our presidential family is on another extravaganza. How many of us get a vacation at least once a quarter? How many of us get to spend $10 million on one vacation? And, do not tell me it is because he is president! Our country is on the financial downgrade, big time, and he seems to thrive on that condition! Shame on our administration!
Keep the faith, and a thank you to Louise.
In God we trust,
Billie R. Stone

Letter from Judge Steve Tittle
Editor's note: Because we ran letters to the editor regarding the upcoming March 4 elections longer than usual, the Herald-Banner extended an opportunity to both Judge Steve Tittle and Judge Andrew Bench to write a final rebuttal letter. Bench's letter can be found in today's print edition. Tittle's letter is below:
To the editor: Today is election day, and I encourage all Hunt County voters to vote. Make no mistake, there is an important option you have today regarding who will continue serving as your District Judge for the 196th Judicial District Court.
