GREENVILLE —

To the editor:

I am writing to let you know how we feel about one of your staff writers. This being Brad Kellar. I just want to let you know how much we enjoy reading about Vida, Jaylynn, Jason and the others in his family. Hearing about what is happening at the “Estate.” You see we also have a very large family. Hearing from Mr. Kellar lets us know that we are not the only ones in love with “family.” I was a Girl Scout leader for a group of young ladies. We did all the things with them … camping, selling cookies, fund raising.

And all the other things you have mentioned in your column. But then that was many years ago. Too many!

The little girls are now grown, married with children. I see them doing the same things their mothers did. I am so proud of them. As I read between the lines of your article I see a man who loves his family and is so very proud of each of them. It lets me enjoy feeling close to him and the family that are living the dreams of love and joy. Please keep the stories coming and I just hope that the joy of being the head of a family such as you have will be the strength of your life.

And again let me say, Thank you, Mr. Kellar, for sharing with the rest of our city the joys you receive being the husband, father and spokesman for those living at “the Estate.” May your life be an example for some of us that can relate to all the seasonal activities that make raising children an exciting and happy way to keep us old folks on our toes.

As one of my daughters (now mother of five) told me the other day, “Thank you, Mother, for the lessons we were taught and giving us a good foundation.” What more can we ask for; right, Vida? Thank you for sharing.
