To the editor:
I trust the mayor and the council to work through the details regarding L-3 just as they do with all the other items on their agenda. It is not at all uncommon for the council to form a committee made up of a few of its members to work on a specific item. I am fully satisfied with whomever the mayor chooses to include on this committee. Keep in mind that the full council is charged with the passage of any contract with L-3 or anyone else for that matter. I think we can all rest assured that those most vocal members will get their turn to “shine in the spotlight” before settling on a final agreement on this very important issue. Meanwhile, I urge everyone, and that includes the Herald-Banner, to allow the council and its members time to do their work.

What is rescue all about?
Rescue is a calling for most people.
Who are we backing?
It is amazing that President Obama, who only five years ago was the staunch anti-war (and anti-Bush) freshman Senator from Illinois, is now whole-heartedly throwing his support behind Syrian rebels to topple the Assad regime.
A big thank you
A huge THANK YOU to the many people who stopped by our booth at Rally Round Greenville.
Top notch crew
On Saturday morning, Sept. 14, I had a TIA. I was sure that was what it was because my right arm felt like lead.
Thank you for your help
It just wouldn’t seem right for me not to submit a very heartfelt message to my friends and former colleagues at the Hunt County Courthouse after last weekend’s Rally ‘Round Greenville.
Medal finally awarded to Murphy
Governor Rick Perry this past week awarded the Texas Legislative Medal of Honor to America’s “most decorated” combat soldier of WWII Audie Murphy.
