Bowie needs replacing

Herald-Banner Staff

GREENVILLE — To the editor:

Bowie needs to be replaced.

Two of my children spent six years each at Bowie. The facility was old and in need of significant attention then. We continue to educate about 475 of our community’s children in an old, outdated and inadequate facility. Just take a walking tour of the building and the portables, and you will easily see the poor learning situation. Our children deserve a better learning environment! It is past time for citizens to step forward in the best interest of the students. My children have moved on to higher grades and will not attend the new Bowie, but it is the right thing to do for our community. Let’s support the school bond proposal. Yes, it will cost us money, but our children are worth the price. Vote for a new Bowie!
