Robert “Bob” William Cotton Jr., 66, of Greenville died Nov. 14, 2007.
He was born Aug. 31, 1941, in Washington, D.C., son of Robert W. Cotton and Marianna E. Leverone Cotton (both deceased). He was a graduate of The University of Maryland and retired from E-Systems where he was an engineer. Mr. Cotton was a loyal member of American Legion Post 17 in Greenville, and he made many lifelong friends at the American Legion, the VFW and AmVets in Greenville.
Survivors are a son, Sean and wife Lori Cotton of Greenville; a daughter, Robin Cotton of Dallas; five grandchildren; sisters Marielaine E. Mowell of Boyds, Md. and Jeanette L. Cotton of Preston, Md.; a brother, Gregory J. Cotton of Gambrills, Md.; stepsister Patricla Mutchler of Columbia, Md.; a stepbrother, James H. Mutchler of Ontario, Calif.; his stepmother, Margaret E. Cotton of Orlando, Fla.; an uncle, James L. Cotton of Orlando, Fla.; an aunt, Marguerite Leverone Saulsbury of Onley, Md.; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Services will be at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lynch Funeral Service. Interment will follow in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m., with a rosary beginning at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
