Thomas Samples

Thomas Ray Samples, 70, of Greenville went home to his maker early in the morning on May 4, 2008, at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. A memorial service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Friday at Harvest Bible Church in Greenville with Brother Todd Barnes officiating. Burial will be in Brigham Cemetery in Campbell.

Thomas was born Feb. 11, 1938, in Hunt County, son of Homer Ray and Annie Jewel Samples. He was a custodian and a Baptist church member.

Survivors include brothers Roger Dale Samples (Sue) and Troy Earl Samples of Greenville; four sisters, Ruby Jewel Pritchet and L.J. of Dallas, Faye Nell Woodson of Greenville, Ida Mae Stracener of Princeton and Glenda Cooper and Cass of Emory; a sister-in-law, Wanda Samples of Paris; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.

His parents and three brothers, George Donald Samples, Franklin Eugene Samples and Roy Merle Samples, preceded him in death.
