Mary Joyce May

Mary Joyce May, 70, of Greenville died the morning of March 2, 2009, at Hunt Regional Medical Center. A graveside service is scheduled at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Shady Grove Cemetery with Rev. Royce Litchfield officiating.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.

Born Feb. 28, 1939, in Oklahoma City, Okla., she was the daughter of James and Dewdrop Williams Liles. She married George May on May 14, 1968, in Dallas. Mrs. May was a homemaker and was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Robert McDonald of Greenville and Monica and Michael Bethke of Minneapolis, Minn.; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Gloria Oliver of The Colony; a sister, Linda Skibo of Marble Falls; grandchildren Gibson Bethke of Minneapolis, Minn., and Jessica Oliver of The Colony; two nieces, Gina Moore and Angie Moore of Pflugerville and nephew Michael Stafford of Austin.

Her parents, husband and brother J.L. Liles preceded her in death.
