Grass fires causing damage around area

GREENVILLE Hunt County firefighters responded to at least four grass fires Wednesday including one off of F.M. 1569 in which a truck also caught fire. Larry Shaw (above) attempts to put out the flames on the truck with a water hose. According to a witness, a field and telephone pole caught fire. Shaw parked his truck, took a shovel to put out the fire at the pole. The fire changed directions, engulfed the truck and exploded the gas tank.
