The Hunt County Fair showcased some of the best animal husbandry around Wednesday with exhibitors competing in shows for Fryers, Breeding Rabbits, Market Swine and Junior Breeding Goats.
A strong breeze also served to make it a nice evening to be on the Midway, while the exhibit halls enjoyed a steady stream of visitors all evening.
But time is running out to enjoy the fair with only three more days remaining.
Thursday will bring a change of pace away from the animals with the Horticulture Entries from 10 a.m. until noon, the Shop Project Show at 5 p.m., the Homemade Biscuit Contest starting at 6 p.m. and the Junior Pet Show and Market Lamb Shows at 6:30 p.m.
On Thursday and Friday, the gates open at 4 p.m. Creative Arts, the exhibits and the livestock buildings be open at 4 p.m. both days with the Midway rides beginning at 5 p.m.
On the final day, Saturday, June 20, the Fair gates will open at noon with Creative Arts, Exhibits and Livestock Buildings opening at the then while Midway rides will open as usual at 5 p.m.
Saturday night’s Junior Livestock auction will be the final event of the 2009 Hunt County Fair.
