A survey of internet Genealogical resources planned at library

"Have You Really Looked Everywhere? A Survey of Internet Resources for Genealogical Research" is the subject of a program to be presented at 6:30 p.m., Monday, in the W. Walworth Harrison Public Library.

The program is presented by the library’s Northeast Texas History and Genealogy Center..

Guest speaker will be Tami Glatz, a lecturer and researcher specializing in the use of computers and the Internet for genealogical research, following industry-accepted standards and principles. She is a past director of the Kingwood Texas Family History Center, and currently volunteers weekly at the Richardson FHC and at the downtown Dallas Public Library in the genealogy department. She is a member of the Dallas Genealogical Society, the National Genealogical Society, the Lone Star chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists, and the Genealogical Speakers Guild.

This presentation gives an overview of some of the many different types of resources available online for genealogists, with specific Web site suggestions for each. And the best part? Most of them are free! Call the library, 903-457-2992, to pre-registerfor hand-out purposes.
