Independence Day celebration at the KC Hall
An Independence Day celebration is scheduled at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Greenville from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Cost is $6 for adults and free for children 12 and under.
Fund-raiser set Saturday
Little Caesars Pizza and Kwik Kar on Wesley Street, have organized an Independence Day Donation Drive in Greenville to aid American troops serving overseas. Donations will be made through proceeds from each business, and in addition residents may make a donation at either location. The donation amount increases with each pizza and/or car wash purchased that day.
A booth will be set up in front of Little Caesars from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday featuring face painting, balloons, temporary tattoos and photos made with Little Caesar.
All proceeds go to the Disabled American Veterans.
Fish fry slated for Saturday
LONE OAK — A fish fry is scheduled at the Lone Oak Civic Center located on the square in Lone Oak, 6 - 8 p.m., Saturday. Donations accepted; carry-out available. Call James at 903-883-2520 for more information.
