Breaking: Fallen soldier to arrive in Greenville Monday morning

GREENVILLE — From the City of Greenville:

Sgt. Tanner Higgins, 23, who was killed in action on April 14, 2012, in Afghanistan, will return to Texas at the Greenville Municipal Airport “Majors Field”, on Monday, April 23, 2012, at 11a.m.

The family has requested that those who desire to pay their respects, line the roadway along FM 1570/Jack Finney Blvd. between the airport and Hwy. 69/Interstate 30. After leaving the airport, the motorcade will proceed north on FM 1570/Jack Finney Blvd. to Business Hwy. 69, then west to Interstate 30, where it will continue east bound.

 

Sgt. Higgins was assigned to Company D, 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment – Hunter Army \Airfield, Georgia, and was serving his country in Afghanistan at the time of his death.  Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro, Texas, is handling the funeral arrangements.
