Another fallen hero to arrive in Greenville

GREENVILLE — Majors Field Municipal Airport in Greenville will receive the body of another fallen hero who died while fighting in the war on terrorism.

Sgt. Tanner S. Higgins, 23, of Yantis, died Apr. 14 in Logar province, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when enemy forces attacked his unit with small arms fire. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Hunter Army Airfield, Ga.

City of Greenville officials have announced that Higgins will be arriving at the airport Monday. The time has not been announced.
