Linda Moncrief

Linda Kay Moncrief, 66, of Greenville died Jan. 4, 2009.

She was born March 10, 1942, in Ponca City, Okla., to Ray and Ruby Madderra. She graduated from Ponca City High School in 1960. She married her husband, Robert B. Moncrief, and they moved around the country before returning to Ponca City in 1974.

She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Ponca City. In 1997 she moved to Greenville where she made her home. She was a homemaker and an avid reader.

She is survived by her two sons, Nick and Jason; sisters Bille Elkins, Sue Dent, Glenna Avey, Dolores Watson, Nancy Barnes and Jan Sensintaffar; brothers Galen Madderra and Johnny Madderra and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and a sister, Betty Halligan.

A graveside service is scheduled at noon Saturday in the Longwood Cemetery in Ponca City, Okla., with family officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lynch Funeral Service.
